We are working hard to prepare our online Open Forum 2021, due to be held on 16 October from 13.30 \u2013 16.30 UK time, when you will have a chance to meet the IATEFL ESPSIG committee, as well as find out more about ESPSIG\u2019s main objectives, activities, planned events and publications.<\/p>\n<p>As in our extremely successful 2020 Open Forum, we would also like to use this opportunity to continue getting to know you, our SIG members. We therefore invite you to submit a proposal for a pop-up presentation in which you would introduce yourself, your professional and academic interests, ESP courses you have been involved in, hands-on experience you would like to share with colleagues \u2013 or anything else that you think is of interest to our membership.<\/p>\n<p>Your proposal should contain the following information:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Name of presenter<\/li>\n<li>Affiliation<\/li>\n<li>Field of work within ESP<\/li>\n<li>Title of the presentation<\/li>\n<li>Short summary of the presentation (up to 100 words)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Proposals should be sent to <a href=\"mailto:espevents@iatefl.org\">espevents@iatefl.org<\/a> and must reach us by midnight UK time on 20 September 2021.<\/p>\n<p>The format of the pop-up presentations is as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>duration: 5-7 minutes<\/li>\n<li>format: PowerPoint slides (including the ESPSIG logo which will be sent to successful speakers)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We are looking forward to hearing from you!<\/p>\n<p>Best,<\/p>\n<p>IATEFL ESPSIG team<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear ESP Practitioners We hope this call finds you well.
