Professional and Academic English, the journal of the IATEFL ESPSIG, would like to invite submissions from postgraduate students researching in the broad area of English for Specific Purposes (ESP), including English for Occupational/Professional Purposes (EOP/EPP), English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) in all contexts where ESP is taught and used.
The aim of the Forum is to provide a space for the dissemination of postgraduate research on topics relevant to the teaching, learning and use of English for specific communities, while offering an opportunity to be mentored in writing for publication.
Submissions should follow the journal’s submission guidelines (https://espsig.iatefl.org) and would ideally be between 2,500 and 3,000 words in length, but longer work (5,000-6,000 words) will also be considered.
The journal will consider:
- state-of-the-art literature reviews which critically explore key issues as well as current trends in ESP;
- recounts of preliminary results of empirical studies, following qualitative, quantitative or mixed-methods methodologies;
- reviews of 2-3 latest publications in the field.
The deadline for submissions for the next (December 2022) issue is 1 September 2022.
