Dear ESP Practitioners
We hope this call finds you well.
The ESPSIG Committee would like to stay connected and share ideas and good practice with our colleagues and peers. We are working hard to prepare our online Open Forum 2022, due to be held on 10 December from 13.30 – 16.30 UK time, when you will have a chance to meet the IATEFL ESPSIG committee, as well as find out more about ESPSIG’s main objectives, activities, planned events and publications.
As in our extremely successful 2020 Open Forum, we would also like to use this opportunity to continue getting to know you, our SIG members. We therefore invite you to submit a proposal for a pop-up presentation in which you would introduce yourself, your professional and academic interests, ESP courses you have been involved in, hands-on experience you would like to share with colleagues – or anything else that you think is of interest to our membership.
Your proposal should contain the following information:
- Name of presenter
- Affiliation
- Field of work within ESP
- Title of the presentation
- Short summary of the presentation (up to 100 words)
Proposals should be sent to [email protected] and must reach us by 19 September 2022.
The format of the pop-up presentations is as follows:
- duration: 5-7 minutes
- format: PowerPoint slides (including the ESPSIG logo which will be sent to successful speakers)
We are looking forward to hearing from you!
Best,
IATEFL ESPSIG team
